About us

We are Donald and Dinah Rankin, both born and raised here in north Skye and now working a croft and living in a house which has been in Donald’s family for 6 generations. Our daughter Karen now lives just down the road and our granddaughters Beth and Emma are very willing farmhands!

We have long admired native breeds; especially Aberdeen Angus cattle and were delighted when the opportunity arose to establish our own herd in 2012.

Our Stock

The herd was founded with females from Cardona, Mosston Muir, and Retties.

Though relatively new to the breed, we have been privileged to enjoy success in the showing arena as well as in the sale ring.

Our aim is to produce easy fleshing cattle with good mobility and breed character.
